Our Response to Intervention

At Heritage Elementary, we believe in helping each of our students become well-rounded individuals with an education that doesn’t only include subject classes, but one that also encourages each child to expand their interests. We have a wide selection of programs within the school to help your child continue on the path of self-discovery.

Our Response to Intervention Program (RTI) provides separate instruction in what students need.  The WIN (What I Need) program provides students instruction in skills and strategies at their instructional level.  All students receive WIN instruction Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Programs used in the WIN instruction may include but are not limited to, 95% phonics instruction, literacy units, vocabulary instruction, Lexia, MobyMax, and Fluency Tutor.

After-School Programs

There are a number of after-school programs available, allowing your child to attend whichever one best suits his or her interests. Our district after school programs page provides information on all the programs we have available.

We also offer before and after school tutoring for students.  This program begins in October and runs through the end of May.  Parents may opt for either time that suits their needs. The tutoring programs are research and internet based.  The programs are Read Live, Dreambox Math, Moby Max, and Fluency Tutor.
