Our Story

Heritage Elementary opened to students, parents, and the community in 1998. Our mascot is the H.A.W.K. (Helping Hands, Always Responsible, Work and Play Respectfully, Kindness).  Our school colors are yellow and black. Heritage has a school enrollment of over 600 students each year. We serve Transitional Kindergarten - 6th Grade students. At Heritage, we are committed to our students, families, and our community. Go HAWKS!

We have many opportunities for parent involvement. Please contact our office at (559) 685-7360 to inquire about our PTO, SSC/ELAC, volunteer program, and many other opportunities available. We look forward to partnering with you in the education of our children.

Message from our Principal

Welcome to the 2023/2024 school year at Heritage Elementary. The mission of Heritage is to provide your children with the best quality educational experience in a safe, pleasant atmosphere. Roughly 600 students make up the Heritage population and are encouraged to come to school each and every day. Missing a day here or there may not seem like much, but absences add up quickly! When a student misses 2 days a month, they will miss 20 days in a year. They will miss over one year of school by the time they graduate from high school. And, they will miss out on the fun of being with friends while they learn and play and grow. We're ready for your children! This year, we are ready to LEVEL UP and our goal is to make sure each and every child has the opportunity to be the best they can be! It's a HAWK thing!

Our Vision

Our vision at Heritage is to create a safe, encouraging, healthy atmosphere where children are able to reach their maximum potential both socially and academically. Our team approach to teaching builds upon high academic and behavioral standards and provides the foundation for accommodating individual, social, emotional, and educational needs. Parents, teachers, students, and staff work together to support the personal growth of every student.

We have a variety of programs that allow for the growth and success of every child in our care, including before and after-school care and a well-stocked library. Our highly qualified teachers and staff work hand in hand with the parents on our site council to ensure every student has the tools to succeed.
