Heritage Elementary School is delighted to serve its nearly 600 students in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. One of 11 elementary schools in the Tulare City School District, Heritage is proud of its traditions, instructional programs, parent involvement, and school spirit. We aim high at Heritage and provide the support and resources necessary for every child to meet and exceed standards.
Our vision at Heritage is to create a safe, encouraging, healthy atmosphere where children are able to reach their maximum potential both socially and academically. Our team approach to teaching builds upon high academic and behavioral standards and provides the foundation for accommodating individual, social, emotional, and educational needs. Parents, teachers, students, and staff work together to support personal growth in every student.
We have a variety of programs that allow for the growth and success of every child in our care, including before and after school care and a well-stocked library. Our highly qualified teachers and staff work hand in hand with the parents on our site council to ensure every student has the tools to success.
Heritage School is an integral part of the community, which contributes to the education of youth. We recognize that individuals differ and attempt to meet the varying needs of all children enrolled in the school. The staff works toward establishing a school program that utilizes consistent methods and conforms to the latest knowledge relating to the learning process. By retaining the best of traditional practices and varying these approaches so that they are appropriate for the subject matter and the individuals being taught, this goal is attained. Together we work toward establishing a pupil-staff-parent relationship based on mutual respect to attain a common objective—fulfilling the educational needs of our children.
